Everest Poker Hosting Avalanche Tournament Promotion
Online Tournaments, 2007-01-04, by Ozone
For the next nine months, Everest Poker is holding a tournament promotion dubbed "Avalanche". The series of events will conclude on September 15th with a $5,000+$300 event that will feature a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million. In the interim, a multitude of events will give players a chance to participate in the high stakes finale.
There are three tiers of satellites to win a seat in the $5,300 event. Daily round one tournaments are priced at $11+$1 and $3+$.30. There are four of these events each day that funnel into a once-a-day $56+$5 round two satellite. Round three satellites take place just once per month and are priced at $530+$30. Note that these "step" style of satellites generally result in paying a lot of entry fees. This is because you may be playing several rounds of tournaments each of which you pay an entry fee just for the chance to win a seat in a satellite with another entry fee.
The final million dollar event will be paused when just ten players remain. These players will be flown to a secret location to conclude the battle for the hefty prize money. The satellite action is available now at Everest Poker. It should be noted that buying in directly to any of the satellites or the main event itself is permissible.
