Man Bets His Wife In A Poker Game

International, 2007-01-31, by Ozone

Andrei Karpov might be the first man ever to bet, and subsequently lose his wife in a game of poker. After the Russian ran out of cash, he offered his opponent, Sergey Brodov, his wife in order to stay in the game.

Brodov accepted the offer and ultimately won the match. Upon turning up to claim his winnings, Karpov's wife Tatiana was so angry she decided to divorce her husband.

She eventually started a relationship with Brodov and is now married to him. Said Tatiana, "Sergey was a very handsome, charming man and I am very happy with him, even if he did 'win' me in a poker game."
