Illinois To Host Deaf Poker Tournament

Tournaments, 2007-02-20, by Ozone

This Sunday, deaf people from the midwest are expected to compete in the area's first deaf poker tournament. The event will be held in River Grove, Illinois and will feature a $65 buy-in. Players will communicate their bets using American Sign Language.

The first and second place finishers will receive entry into a 2007 World Series of Poker event, as well as travel expenses. Players must be 18 years of age or older in order to participate; the minimum age to participate in the WSOP is 21. I guess they'll sort that out later.
