Joe Hachem Relocates Family Over Threats
Celebrities, 2007-04-09, by Ozone
Australia's Joe Hachem recently revealed concerns for his family's security has forced him to relocate to a new home. The 2005 WSOP Main Event winner cited a series of threatening letters and phone calls as reason for the move to another part of Melbourne.
"We've just bought a house, more for security reasons because my address was public knowledge," Hachem told a leading Australia newspaper. "You get a few calls, you get a letter in the mail and you think, 'You know what? I don't need this."'
The ex-chiropractor said he was naive to think he'd return to a normal life after winning poker's biggest prize. "There's nothing normal about my life these days."
